Folk Mass music is a style that originated in the 1960s and continues through to today. It is a style that lends itself to the guitar or piano.
The phrase “Folk Mass” is often applied to any Mass where the guitar (or perhaps piano) is the primary instrument used.
The goal of our folk ministry is to use our musical talents and reverently join in the Liturgy.
This music style tends to be less formal than our Choral Ministry.
Most of the music we use during Sacred Liturgy is from a number of today's Catholic and Christian sources.
Our Folk Music Ministry supports the Saturday 4:00 pm, Wednesday 7 pm, First Friday 7 pm, and Sunday 6 pm, and some Holy Day Vigil Masses.
