Mission: Assist the ordained minister(s) (the priest and deacon) at Mass in distributing the Most Holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Membership Requirements / Participation: You must possess a great devotion and reverence for the Blessed Sacrament. This person should be a confirmed Catholic and an active parishioner who receives the Sacraments on a regular basis. As a Eucharistic minister you are asked to arrive for your scheduled date about 15 minutes early for personal prayer and to prepare for Mass. Schedules are mailed and/or e-mailed out periodically. Each extraordinary minister is put through a rotation process in accordance to his/her availability and Mass preference. Training meetings depend upon the pastor’s schedule. After the appropriate training has been completed, a rotation schedule will be generated.
How to Join: An extraordinary minister is a parishioner who is selected by the pastor with the approval of the Diocesan Bishop. Please contact the Rectory at (508) 943-3140 Ext. 5, to express any interest.
